FAQs

A lot of parents and students don't know where to start or what to ask when planning senior photos, here are some common questions!

"What should I wear?"

My personal advice for clothes for engagement photo sessions is to wear something that feels true to each of you while complimenting each other. I typically recommend against words and logos.

"Can I bring multiple outfits?"

Of course! More outfits can help make the session look more different, like they aren't all the same photos taken on the same day.

Most places we would do photos at have bathrooms to change in as well.

"Do you charge a security deposit?"

If you're booking a standalone engagement session, I do ask for a $100 security deposit at the time of booking. That ensures that all of us have the time locked into our calendar. This is refundable if you cancel up to 2 weeks before the session. The rest of the fees associated are due at the time of the session.

"Where do we take the photos?

We can take them wherever you would like! Sometimes that's a nearby park, sometimes that's downtown, and sometimes that's staying right in your backyard.

"Do you travel?"

I sure do! Part of being a midwesterner to my core is that I am unafraid of long drives to be in the right place with the right people.

Travel expenses are added when more than 30 miles from Broad Ripple in Indianapolis.

"Do yo watermark the photos?"

Nope! You pay me for the session which includes digital copies, and I don't want to cover them up with my own name or logo. I do ask that if and when you post on social media, you do tag me in the post though so people can find me easily!

"Can I print my own photos?"

All my photo packages come with unlimited downloading and the option to buy professional prints! One thing I've learned from my couples though, is that they love I don't require them to print through me and that gallery, so they can choose how the photos can live on.

"How many photos do we get?"

This can depend on the session, the couple, and countless other factors, but typically over 80.

I don't contractually agree to a certain number because I'd hate to deliver photos that I don't like or are unflattering to meet a benchmark, or hold photos I like back because I only have to edit 40 (which is what would actually usually happen).

"How long do you take to deliver full galleries?"

The short answer is that this can depend a lot on season. September and October sessions may take up to a month, spring sessions may be delivered within days, depending my queue.

Especially when I have long queues, I send sneak peeks within 3 days so you have some photos very quickly!
